Tool to change a watch strap

The Bergeon 6767F drives out spring bars in seconds, leaving no mark. A fine fork tip on one side, for leather, metal and silicone straps. A pin tip on the other, for adjusting metal bracelets. Hardened steel tips.

It is the fineness of the fork that allows Rolex metal bracelets to be removed, and that keeps the edges of a leather strap intact. On a spring bar seated deep in a lug, a few tenths of a millimetre decide the outcome.

Spring bar or fixed bar on a watch

The 6767F removes spring bars. A fixed bar, welded to the case, cannot be removed: that is precisely where a NATO strap is the answer, since it passes under the case. For the width to order, our lug width table by watch model gives the match.

A tired spring bar is replaced, not repaired. Reinforced stainless steel springbars run from 18 to 26 mm. For buckle and link screws you need a watchmaker screwdriver, not this tool: the Bergeon 1.6 mm covers the common size.
